    Growing up in the small town of Hillsboro, TX my mother was a theatre director and acting teacher, who put me on stage acting in her plays when I was around 3 years old. After high school graduation I received an acting scholarship my first two of years of college. I then graduated from the University of Texas-Arlington with a BFA in Art with an emphasis in Film. 

    
    

    I worked at Reel FX Entertainment in Dallas, TX from 2003-2012. Over the years there I served in the roles of render wrangler, layout artist, layout supervisor, animator, animation supervisor, animation director, and director of studio animation. I was responsible for 120+ people which include the art, modeling, rigging, layout, and animation departments at Reel FX. I also worked as a Mentor for the Animation Mentor online animation school based out of Emeryville, CA. 

    
    

    In 2010, I was nominated for a Visual Effects Society (VES) Award for "Outstanding Achievement in an Animated Short" for the work done on Warner Bros' Coyote Falls. The short also garnered an Annie Nomination and short listed for the 2010 Oscars.
    
    In 2012, I had the honor of supervising the Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem theme park ride for Universal Studios. The project won both an Annie and VES Award.
    
    I'm am now serving as owner and CEO of Green Grass Studios in Dallas, TX.  I reside in Waxahachie, TX with my wife, Toni, who is a dentist. And we have two beautiful little girls.

      Responsible for 120+ people in the Entertainment Division which consisted of Art, Modeling, Rigging, Layout, and Animation Departments at Reel FX. Over the course of 8.5 years served in additional roles including Render Wrangler, Layout Artist, Layout Supervisor, Animator, Animation Supervisor, and Animation Director roles at Reel FX.

      Responsibilities included creative animation direction, production supervision, resource management, bidding jobs, department building/management, recruiting, creative consulting for our internal propriety production management software, and oversight of all entertainment projects.

      Worked on projects for top studios and clients including Hasbro, Mattel, Kraft, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, McDonald's, Microsoft, Walt Disney, Fox/Blue Sky, Dreamworks, Sony, Warner Bros, and Illumination/Universal.

      Reported directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

      Nominated for Outstanding Achievement in an Animated Short for the 2010 Visual Effects Society (VES) Awards. Looney Tunes Coyote Falls - Wile E. & Roadrunner. Short was also shortlisted for an Academy Award.

      Supervised the Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem Theme Park Ride, which won a 2013 Annie Award for Best Animated Special Production. The project also garnering a 2013 VES Award for Visual Effects in a Special Venue Project.
